About Me

Hi, I’m Emma Delacourt — and welcome to my cozy corner of seed-powered nourishment.

I’m a 37-year-old mom, ex-nurse, lifelong food tinkerer — and a big believer in rituals over rules, especially when it comes to healing, nourishment, and self-kindness.

💡 Why Seeds?

My journey into chia, flax, pumpkin, and hemp began after a long personal healing process — including a bariatric surgery that changed not just how I eat, but how I relate to food.

I started experimenting with seed-based recipes out of necessity, but I stayed for the magic: the simplicity, the satiety, the gentleness. Seeds became more than food — they became rituals.

🌿 What You’ll Find Here

This blog is your go-to for real-food recipes centered around seeds. High-fiber, gut-friendly, quick to prep, and endlessly nourishing — whether you’re recovering, rebalancing, or just trying to eat smarter without overcomplicating it.

Some recipes are bariatric-inspired and include disclaimers when appropriate. Others are simply plant-powered comfort food — delicious for any phase of life.

🏡 Behind the Blog

I live in Santa Cruz, California with my husband Jake, our two kids (Sophie and Max), a talkative parrot named Kiwi, and too many mason jars. Sunday is my “Seed Reset” — a little meal prep ritual where I mix seed blends, spill flax everywhere, and feel like I’m doing something kind for my body.

💬 Why I Write

I don’t believe in food guilt, shame, or perfection. I believe in tiny acts of self-respect — like blending a 5-minute seed smoothie or slowing down enough to eat breakfast sitting down.

I write like a friend in your kitchen — not a coach with a clipboard. You’ll find real stories, fails, wins, and probably a kid or parrot interrupting every other recipe.
