Description
Quick, fiber-rich wellness drink with pink salt, lemon, and seeds—perfect for hydration and digestion after bariatric surgery.
Ingredients
- 1 cup warm (not boiling) filtered water
- ¼ tsp fine pink Himalayan salt
- 1 tsp chia seeds
- 1 tsp ground flaxseed
- 1 tsp hulled hemp seeds
- Juice of ½ lemon (fresh is best)
- Optional: 1 tsp raw honey
- Optional: ½ tsp apple cider vinegar (with the mother)
Instructions
- Mix the Base: In a heat-safe glass or jar, stir ¼ tsp pink salt and lemon juice into the warm filtered water.
- Add Seeds: Add chia, flax, and hemp seeds. Stir well with a mini whisk or spoon.
- Let It Gel: Let the drink sit for 5–10 minutes so the chia begins to gel.
- Add Optional Boosts: Add optional raw honey or apple cider vinegar if desired.
- Stir & Sip: Stir again before drinking, and sip slowly on an empty stomach.
Notes
Optional: Avoid baking soda unless cleared by a doctor—it may alter pH and affect nutrient absorption. Store without honey/lemon for freshness.
